Reunion 2016 – Recap!

Highlights:
1) All the children!
2) Children’s activities: bouncy castle, art, bean bag tosses, parachute game, princess dress, and others. Thanks to Rachael, Rosemary, the Deans for bringing the bouncy castle and princess clothes, and I heard that Kate also contributed.
3) Will gave a devotion on how much in the New Testament is written about in the New Testament. (Read Psalm 22 and Isaiah 53 and then read Matthew 27.)
4) Patsy played the piano and we sang some beautiful hymns, ending with Blest Be the Tie That Binds.
5) Good food! Thanks to Anthony and Rob (and probably their wives Rebecca and Rachael!)
6) Alex Graham is helping us put together another Graham cookbook! More details to come.
7) The count at Saturday supper was 55!

We talked about Reunion 2017 at the business meeting! It will be a new kind of reunion, it being our first reunion in a new place in several years. Yay for new traditions! So far, here are the volunteers:

4) Flea Market – Carol and Marianne
5) Communications Chair – Will
There are still many more volunteer opportunities, including a devotional leader, and someone to lead the business meeting.

Regarding Reunion 2018, after some discussion, we decided to make the decision at the 2017 Reunion. If Unicoi is a great place, we may stick with that; or if not, we’ll talk about other options, such as Hickory Knob or some other place “east-ish”. Nothing settled yet, however; and some have even mentioned that the date should be reconsidered.

Well… another reunion in the bank! Truly another great one!
