It’s good to be able to bring some wonderful news, as well — we hear that David Shultz is “doing great.”

Much love to the family.

Bart Schulz

Hi everyone,

In case you haven’t heard, Bart Schulz died this weekend.

Funeral is: Saturday June 8 @ 3:00 at Dancyville United Methodist Church with visitation at 2:00.

  • This is the church right across the road from the Schulz home.)
  • Address is: 85 Dancyville Um Church Rd, Stanton, TN 38069
  • Peebles Funeral Home in Somertown is making the arrangements – 901-465-353

Thanks to Irwin for passing this along.

If you didn’t know Bart (and some of the younger generation may not), Bart was oldest son of Aunt Mary and Uncle Barton. His brother is David Schulz who married Jackie.  So, Bart’s niece and nephew is Ashley and Matt Schulz. Bart (and David) also had a sister Kay who died a few years ago.

Bart was funny and loved coming to the reunions even if it was for just a few hours. I can’t remember one that he missed! Bart had a memory like no one else! Bart had twinkly blue eyes and was tall. I don’t know how old Bart was, but I’d guess in the mid to late 70s.

Prayers going out especially to David, Jackie, Ashley and Matt.

Love,

Frances

Uncle Edgar

Hi Everyone,

Jackie called today to let us know that Uncle Edgar has terminal cancer. He has the cancer in both the throat as well as liver. Apparently, the next couple of weeks are going to be full of a lot of visits to doctor to begin treatment.

Please keep him in prayers and if you are in the Memphis area, consider getting in touch with him to set up a visit.

Here’s his address:
Ralph and Joan Graham
1155 Wright Ave
Memphis TN 38122

phone: (901) 323-2925

For everyone in the younger generation: Uncle Edgar is the youngest of the Graham siblings. Aunt Ora was the oldest. There are 18 years difference in their ages! Can you believe being the mother of both an 18-year old as well as an infant! Uncle Edgar was only 2 years old when their mother died. He was raised by an aunt and uncle. Uncle Edgar is such a humble Christian man. He and Aunt Joan are the kindest, most loving people on this earth. He loves the family. Although he hasn’t been to many reunions, he is always interested in what goes on. He would be so happy at all the younger generation interesting in everyone keeping in touch and keeping the reunions going.

Frances
